Brookfield Board of Finance Quickly Fills Vacancy After Board Member Resigns

Vice Chairman Ernie Nepomuceno resigned on Nov. 12 and was quickly replaced by Mark Mulvaney for the Brookfield Board of Finance.

On Saturday morning the Brookfield Board of Finance met at a special meeting and chose Mark Mulvaney to replace Ernie Nepomuceno, who resigned on Nov. 12, according to The News Times.

Board Chairman Phil Kurtz told the paper that bylaws require the board to quickly fill Nepomuceno’s seat, and that the town’s requirements for 24 hours’ public notice of Saturday’s special meeting were met.

Two newly elected Democrats will take office on Dec. 6. The new board will include two Republicans, two Democrats and two members of A Brookfield Party.
