Brookfield Bobcats Boys High School Varsity Soccer Wins at Montville

The Brookfield Bobcats Boys High School varsity soccer team played their second round game Thursday for the State Cup. They won a tough match against No. 6 seeded Montville at an away game at Montville High School.

Number 22 seeded Brookfield went up early on a goal by Matt Bento off a cross from Liam Cleary. The Brookfield back line held strong and goalie Andrew Almeida came away with another clean sheet, according to David Cleary.

Brookfield faces No. 3 ranked Bacon Academy on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Norwich.
