Brookfield Boys Track Compete At SWC Meet In Weston

The Brookfield Boys Track Team gave a great effort and placed third for Overall Team Scores in the SWC event held on Tuesday at Weston High School.   Brookfield came in behind New Milford's first place finish at 105.2 and Weston's 94.

Individual/Team Track Events as follows:

4x800 — 3rd place with a time of 8:17.28

4x100 — 3rd place at 44.86

100 Hurdles — 2nd place Kirk Gardner

300 Hurdles — 6th place Austin Burke, 44.02

200M — 3rd place Leaon Gordon at 3:34.28

4x400 — Brookfield placed 6th at 3:34.28

Field Events:

Javelin — 2nd place Christopher Ackell, distance of 165-11; 3rd place Kevin Walsh at 163-4

Shot Put — Ackell placed 3rd with a distance of 47-1.5

Discus — Ackell placed 1st with a distance of 144-6

High Jump — Tie for 1st place between Jack Gerhert and Jacob Matthews of Bethel at a height of 6-2

Pole Vault — 1st place Jordan Burandt at 13-8; 3rd place Kirk Gardner at 12-0
