Brookfield Charity 'Lifts' Senior's Holiday Spirit
An elderly woman thanks Brookfield's Handy Dandy Handyman for "the lift of life." The charity recently donated an electric lift chair.

By Peter Brady, Founder of Handy Dandy Handyman
Last week we asked for help in locating an electric lift chair for our 94-year-old client Flo who lives alone in a mobile home in Danbury.
Flo was on her way to the store (yes she drives well at her age) with her hard saved $500 to purchase an electric lift chair but her car would not start and had to be driven to the mechanic. Five hundred dollars later she got the car back but no chair.
Now having to wait another 6 months to save another $500 was a major disappointment.
Handy Dandy Handyman (HDHM) was notified of this situation by her advocate Epy and then in stepped our very generous donor from Florida who purchased a new chair and today had it delivered much to her surprise.
We are extremely grateful to all our generous donors throughout the year who allow us to make a difference in the lives of so many folks who struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet. God is good and so are all of our 2,200 HDHM subscribers throughout the U.S.A.
Flo says, “Thanks for the lift of life.”
Thank you and Merry Christmas.
