Brookfield Commuters Take Note: Rte. 34 and I-95 Construction News
The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced several projects that may impact Brookfield commuters.

I-95 Info:
The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced nighttime closures of the I-95 Southbound Exit 14 off-ramp in Norwalk for 3 to 5 nights for bridge inspections. The closures will take place from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am beginning on Monday, June 22, 2015.

I-95 Southbound Exit 14 off-ramp in Norwalk will be closed June 22 to June 26 from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, weather permitting. The public will be detoured to Exit 13 and onto U.S. Route 1 where they will be directed north.
Drivers should use caution and note that modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary due to weather or other unforeseen conditions. For more information, please visit the project website at www.i95norwalk.com.
Route 34 Info:

Maintenance work is being performed by FirstLight on the Stevenson Dam. This work will require closure and a traffic detour on Route 34 (Roosevelt Drive) in Oxford and Monroe. The closure and detour will take place in both directions at the Stevenson Dam, located at the Oxford / Monroe town line, from 6:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, until 12:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
Traffic will be detoured using CT Route 111, CT Route 110, and Bridge Street in the City of Shelton. Long-distance traffic is advised to take CT 8 and I-84 to avoid the Stevenson Dam.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs and follow the directions of the uniformed police officers.
