Brookfield Fire Department Resumes Birthday Parades

BROOKFIELD, CT — If you were searching for a sign that the town is slowly, carefully, returning to normal after nine months of the coronavirus, look no further: The Brookfield Fire Department is bringing back birthday party parades.

Parades will be offered only on the second Saturday and fourth Sunday of each month, with a maximum of 10 stops each of those days. Only Brookfield addresses will be serviced, and there is a $50 minimum donation.

Requests for the month should be emailed to BVFCBirthdays@gmail.com by the 1st of the month to allow the appropriate planning.

The firefighters are also offering a truck photo opportunity at the end of the parade, socially distanced, patterned after their Santa visits.
