Brookfield Fire Under Investigation

BROOKFIELD, CT — A reported building fire turned out be less serious, but no less mysterious, than firefighters thought it would be on Wednesday night.

Dispatch received a report of a building fire around 8:00 p.m. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found instead a parked plow truck ablaze near the building, according to a report from the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, which is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
