Brookfield Firefighters Remind Residents They Are Politically Neutral
The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company does not permit the use of their logos, apparatus or members in any political ad.
BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company is reminding residents it does not endorse candidates for political office, following two incidents they say may have led people to believe otherwise.
"We have been made aware of two interactions involving perceived endorsement of candidates for office, one via a flyer and one via speaking with a member of our company at a door to door campaign," the firefighters posted on social media.
The firefighters also do not permit the use of their logos, apparatus or members to be featured in any political advertisement, officials posted to Facebook.
