Brookfield First Selectman Welcomes New School Administrators
New staff members are John Barile, Superintendent; Maureen Ruby, Asst. Superintendent and Al Cameron, Director of Business and Operations.

First Selcectman Bill Tinsley said in his Brookfield Matters newsletter that the administrative issues in Brookfield schools are being addressed and he is happy to announce the new administrators: John Barile, Superintendent; Maureen Ruby, Asst. Superintendent and Al Cameron, Director of Business and Operations.
The school system is in a good state, the first selectman noted, as the new administrators begin their positions. The town has approved an increase to the schools budget of $1.0 million for 2015-2016. The Town has also appropriated $2.7 million for capital maintenance projects.
“Our schools have the lowest ratio of students-to-teachers, and students-to-full time employees in our history. We teach Spanish K-12. We’ve had full day kindergarten for a number of years, in a kind, nurturing early childhood environment - Center School. We have more Advanced Placement (AP) courses at the High School than ever before. More and more of our high school graduates are attending highly ranked and competitive 4 year collegiate programs; and every High School student is supplied an IPad to assist their studies and access to information,” Tinsley said.
