Brookfield First Selectwoman Carr Announces Re-Election Run
First Selectwoman Tara Carr announced on Friday she is running for re-election in November.

BROOKFIELD, CT — First Selectwoman Tara Carr has announced she is running for re-election in November.
"Our work is not yet done and I will continue to focus on those areas where we can make significant improvements. Our town becoming financially healthy underpins all of these efforts," Carr. 44, said in a statement Friday.
Carr, a Republican, is serving her first term as a selectman. She served in the army for 25 years, enlisting at age 18, and rose through the ranks to the rank of lieutenant colonel. Upon leaving the army, Carr worked as the director of operations for an Amazon logistics facility in Danbury.

"I am listening to your concerns and my office will continue to be transparent and entertain open dialogue with all Brookfield residents during my next term," she said.
