Brookfield Gets $1.3M from FEMA for Flood Issues in Meadowbrook Manor

Funds will be used to correct flooding issues in the Meadowbrook Manor section of Brookfield.

The Town of Brookfield will receive $1.3 million to fix flood issues in the 128-home Meadowbrook Manor neighborhood, according to WTNH News.

Funds will be used to install a new storm sewer system to alleviate drainage problems during big storms. The flooding is from Lime Kiln Brook and has been going on for more than years, according to the report. The flooding has led to contaminated septic water and flooded homes.
