Brookfield GOP Town Committee Votes Candidates for the GOP Caucus

**News Release Submitted by The Brookfield Republican Town Committee**

July 19, 2023

The Brookfield Republican Town Committee met the evening of Tuesday July 18, 2023 to hold a “Special Meeting” in lieu of their regular meeting for the purpose of voting on candidates recommended by their Vacancy Committee.

The vote for this full slate of 15 candidates was overwhelming. This full slate of candidates will now be presented at a Republican Caucus to be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Whisconier Middle School at 7pm. The caucus is open to all registered Republicans in Brookfield.

More than 25 candidates were interviewed over an almost 4-month period by a 5-person Vacancy Committee chaired by Stephen O’Reilly.

Going into the caucus and headlining the slate is incumbent Tara Carr, a 25-yr retired Lieutenant Colonel, running for re-election as First Selectman and Joseph Rondini, Jr. as Selectman. Joe, new to politics, is a detective First Class with the Greenwich Police Department.

Zoning Commission – Morris Badoud, Dionisius Fontana, Bishendra Komar
Zoning Board of Appeals – Leanna Hinger
Board of Assessment Appeals – Elliott C. Morales
