Brookfield Heroes to be Honored at Brookstock V on July 18

Brookfield will honor the military service and sacrifice of Brookfield heroes Darren James LaBonte and Jason Dale Lewis who were killed in action while serving our country.

• 2 p.m. - Memorial Service in the Rotary Memorial Garden at Town Hall, 100 Pocono Lane, Brookfield
• 3 p.m. - BROOKSTOCK V Tribute to Darren and Jason at the Town Hall Bandstand, 100 Pocono Lane, Brookfield
• 7 p.m. - Brookfield Historical Society Museum - Music to honor the service of all Veterans

Darren was a member of the Brookfield High School Class of 1992. He was killed in action while serving in the CIA in Afghanistan on December 30, 2009.

Jason was a member of the Brookfield High School Class of 1995. He was a Navy Seal, killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq on July 6, 2007.
