Brookfield High Grad's Death Results In Guilty Plea

A Brookfield High graduate was killed by an intoxicated driver in New York.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — A suburban New York driver has pleaded guilty to fatally striking a college student while intoxicated.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. says 25-year-old Emma Fox, of Rye, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to vehicular manslaughter and a misdemeanor DWI count.

The victim was 21-year-old Manhattanville College lacrosse player Robert Schartner. He was killed in October 2016 as he was running back to his dorm from downtown White Plains.

Schartner was a graduate of Brookfield High School in Connecticut.
