Brookfield High School Dance team wins SWC Hip Hop Championship Title
BHS has won the SWC title five times.

The Brookfield High School dance team won the South-West Conference championship title in the hip hop division at New Milford High School on Jan. 31.
The dance team also placed second in the jazz division. There were seven high school teams in attendance at the SWC competition.
The South-West Conference championship was founded ten years ago by Brookfield’s advisor (then coach) Linda Davies. BHS won the SWC title in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2011 & 2013.

The BHS dance team is coached by Deanne Petriccione and Isabel Moulthrop and lead by senior captains, Lauren Gardner & Jazzlyn Torres and junior captains, Kristin Burnell & Alexa Petrellese. Team members are Nicole Pratt, Serena Morin, Gabby Garizio, Paige Peck, Zoe DiPinto, Taylor Higgins, Emily Traisci, Grace Cioffi, Selena Salvino, Camryn Decosta, Molly Capalbo and Sydney Higgins.
Brookfield will be competing at Quinnipiac University on Feb. 21 and at the Connecticut State High School Dance Team Championships on Feb. 28 at Hamden High School. The BHS dance team has won the state championship title for five consecutive years 2008-2011.
