Brookfield Library To Host Nature Photography With Digital Twist

The Brookfield Library Art Gallery presents Beyond the Lens, an exciting exhibition of nature photography with digital aspects.

BROOKFIELD, CT —The Brookfield Library Art Gallery will present "Beyond the Lens," an exhibition of nature photography with digital aspects by photographer and digital artist Nina McKitty, on view from June 1 to July 27.

McKitty’s work is inspired by the intrinsic beauty of botany with a focus on the unexpected details of flowers. Her digital brushstrokes and techniques enhance her photographs to create a fantasy for the viewer that captures her polished focus on elements of nature, according to a news release.

The public is invited to attend the exhibition reception and meet the artist, Nina McKitty, on Saturday, June 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. in The Brookfield Library Art Gallery.

A virtual version of this exhibition will be available on The Brookfield Library’s website, starting June 1.

The Brookfield Library Art Gallery is located in the Library's Community Room and is open during the Library’s regular operating hours. Visitors should check in at the circulation desk before entering the Gallery.
