Brookfield Lions Assist People with Low Vision

Brookfield Lions Donate Enhance Keyboards to Libraries

In support of the Fairfield/New Haven Counties Lions Low Vision Centers Outreach program the, Brookfield Lions in December distributed 17 computer keyboards to Public Libraries in Bethel, Brookfield, Bridgeport Main Library and four branch facilities, Newtown, New Fairfield, Shelton and Trumbull.

Lions International is the largest service organization in the world with over 1.5 million members. Their main mission addresses vision issues, one of which is Low Vision which is an insufficient useable sight to accomplish the tasks of daily living. The Lions, through their Lions Low Vision Centers, provide free to the public, appropriate low vision devices, such as these keyboards, to people with decreased vision to assist them in improving their quality of life and maintaining their independence.
