Brookfield Lions can count

Brookfield Lions assist the Parks and Rec. Dept. in conducting interest survey

If you were wondering who the people were in the reflective vest and why they were asking questions of users of the Still River Greenway, they were part of a team conducting a survey for the Connecticut Trail Census. This is part of a statewide multiuse trail study. The results will be used to improve trails.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
