The Brookfield Lions' Club Sponsors a Community Garden

Limited Plots are Available to Brookfield Residents

The Brookfield Lions Club has been sponsoring a community garden on the Gurski property off Obtuse Hill Rd. for ten years. As of right now, two large plots are available at $30.00 and three small plots at are available for $20.00 for the season to Brookfield residents. If anyone is interested they can send an email to brkfldlionsgarden@gmail.com to let us know. Applications can also be found on the Brookfield Lions Club website and dropped off at the Park and Rec office.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
