Brookfield Lions learn about Lions International's program concerning Diabetes awareness

Lions Jerry and Helene Dellert, (pictured above L-R) District 23A Diabetes Leaders, addressed the Brookfield Lions at their meeting, concerning how Lions International have made a strong commitment to fight diabetes and diabetic eye disease. They are doing this by working together to enhance existing programs or providing life saving services where none existed. Some of these efforts are Community education programs, Diabetes and Vision Screening, Provision of Medication and Supplies for families in need and support of Diabetes foundations and recreational camps.

Also during that meeting two new members were inducted. Pictured above (L-R), Lion Klaus Nielsen, Sponsor, Mahmound Omran, Rebekah Lyon (look close at the cell phone and there she is) and Lion Mark Lyon Sponser.
