Brookfield Lions Help to Save Lives
Brookfield Lions provide personal Medical Information Kit to assist EMTs in case of an Emergency.
Picture this, you are alone watching TV and suddenly fell ill. You call 911, unlock your front door and collapse in your chair. The EMTs arrive and since they do not know your Medical History, try to do their best to assist you. A different scenario, when the EMTs arrive they see a sign at the front door that says “Medical Alert Bottle Located in Refrigerator”. They go there, retrieve the bottle and have all the contact information, Medical Issues, Medications taken and preferred Hospital. Which scenario would you like for yourself ?
Lions International is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its beginning and has requested each Lions Club to develop a special project to mark this event in their local community. The Brookfield Lions have developed this Medical Alert Bottle in response to that request. The labeled bottle contains the window sign and two medical information forms, blue for male and pink for female. So far the Brookfield Lions have distributed more than 1500 bottles. For further information about this program and how to obtain a Medical Alert Bottle please contact David Moissonnier at dmoissonnier@snet.net.
