Brookfield Lions Receive Awards

Brookfield Lions Honors its Members

The Brookfield Lions, at its Annual meeting made the following Award Presentations. Recipients, pictured (L-R): Lion Bob Symington, President’s Award; Lion David Moissonnier, Treasurer; Lion Mike O’Brien, Knight of the Blind; Lion Fraij Yapoujian, Ambassador of Sight; Lion Susan O’Brien, President; Lion Lyn Lyon, Lion of the Year; Lion Joe Rocky, Melvin Jones Fellow; Lion Iris Bartke, President’s Award; Lion Pam Tanz, President’s Award; Lion Cathy Nielsen, Knight of the Blind; Lion Tulio Lopez, President’s Award; Lion Tony Licursi , Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow; Lion Klaus Nielsen, Ambassador of Sight.
The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet twice weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
