Brookfield Lions Receive Centennial Awards

Lions Club Continues to Grow

Centennial Membership awards were presented to several Brookfield Lions at their recent meeting. These awards are given to members who contribute to membership growth by sponsoring new members. Gold Centennial awards were given to Susan Pianforini, Robin Montgomery, and Kathi Hlavec, pictured above. They sponsored members who are in good standing with the club for two years plus a day. Silver Centennial awards which signify new members who have been in the club in good standing for a year plus a day were presented to Mark and Jackie Kettunen. They are pictured with Club secretary, Robin Montgomery.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
