Brookfield Lions Support Guide Dogs
Brookfield Lions donate $4,000 to Guiding Eyes for the Blind
At the Annual Guiding Eyes for the Blind Salute to the Lions Day at their Training Center, Brookfield Lions President Lyn Lyon (pictured right) presented a check for $4,000 in support of Guiding Eyes General Fund and Healing Autism Program. After the formal portion of the program the members had time to play with the puppies and visited future guide dogs in their kennels.
The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
