Brookfield Man Killed In 'Possible Hit-And-Run' In Massachusetts
Jeffrey Richardson, 59, of Brookfield, was killed in Wellfleet, MA, the victim of a "possible hit-and-run," according to local police.
BROOKFIELD, CT — A Brookfield man was killed in a "possible hit-and-run" accident in Massachusetts Monday night, local police there reported.
Jeffrey Richardson, 59, was found lying unresponsive with visible severe head injuries on Route 6 in Wellfleet, MA, by Wellfleet police officers who received the call at 9:41 p.m.
Wellfleet police and rescue personal from the local fire department administered lifesaving measures within minutes of the call, according to police officials.

Emergency crews requested an ambulance helicopter to Boston, but one was unavailable due to weather conditions. Instead, Richardson was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
Richardson succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, according to Wellfleet police officials.
