Brookfield Man Uses Counterfeit Bills to Buy X-Box: NY Police
A 25-year-old man was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument and larceny after an investigation.

BROOKFIELD, CT-- A Brookfield resident was arrested for using counterfeit money to purchase video game equipment, according to a New York State police report.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Brewster barracks arrested Aaron Coderre, 25, of Brookfield, on March 28 for criminal possession of a forged instrument, first degree, a Class C felony, and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, police said.

State Police investigated and discovered that Coderre used counterfeit currency to purchase X-box video game equipment in the Town of Southeast on March 6, 2016.
According to court records, Coderre was sentenced to seven years jail time in 2010 for second degree robbery. He was sentenced to six months jail time in 2014 for interfering with an officer and resisting arrest.
Coderre was arraigned at the Village of Brewster Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. He was due in Southeast Town Court on March 31.
