Brookfield Martial Arts Family Heads to Orlando for World Championships

The owner of Modern Self Defense and Training Center, Clinton Murphy, along with his two children Samantha, 11, and CJ, 9, are headed to Walt Disney World Orlando to defend their championship breaking titles.

Murphy, a 5th degree Master, has been training for over 26 years. He is a 3-time World Heavyweight Breaking Champion and has taught the breaking skills to his children and other students in his school. Samantha will compete by breaking wood and concrete with a variety of strikes and will incorporate cheer stunts and tumbling skills. CJ will compete by breaking as many boards as possible with an elbow strike.

The Murphy family children have been training with Clinton in Martial Arts since they were 4 and 5 years old. Murphy and his wife Kelly own Modern Self Defense and Training Center, located at 1120 Federal Road in Brookfield. The school specializes in practical, self-defense martial arts for kids and adults.
