The town is now must to pay the legal fees the registrar incurred during a lawsuit.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Town of Brookfield must pay legal fees incurred by former Republican Registrar of Voters Tom Dunkerton incurred during a lawsuit, reports The News Times.
Judge Anthony Truglia ruled that the town must reimburse former Dunkerton's legal fees incurred during a suit over a Brookfield resident who was kicked out of the Republican Party.
Truglia dismissed the town's objection to Dunkerton's request for reimbursement and ruled that the former registrar was acting in his capacity as a town employee.
