BROOKFIELD, CT — The Board of Education has named a former Waterbury teacher to be the new special education supervisor for prekindergarten through fifth grade.
Melissa Baldwin, a special education teacher and supervisor, and most recently the special education director of the Waterbury Public Schools District, is replacing Chrissy Salvestrini, who is taking a part-time administrative position in Ridgefield.
"Mrs. Baldwin stood out as a highly engaged and skilled leader, ready to help our students, families and faculty in attaining the aspirations of the Brookfield community," Superintendent John Barile said in a press release.
