Brookfield PD K-9 Major Sworn In

Students at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School helped choose Major's name.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield Police Department's latest member K-9 Major was sworn in to his position during a ceremony held at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School Monday morning.

Major is a 3-year-old German shepherd who is handled by partner Officer Joseph Kyek. Students at the school chose Major's name while Kyek and Major were in training.

The latest K-9 team completed 14 weeks of training at the K9 Police Academy.
