The teams tracked the kayak to an area of the lake not easily accessible from land. Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company officials speculated the boat had broken loose in the high winds Saturday.

The owner of the vehicle was contacted and is safe and sound, but the owner of the kayak is still unknown. There is no reason to believe anyone is missing, according to BVFC officials.
