Brookfield Republican Town Committee Seeks New Town Commission Members
They're seeking members to serve on the following commissions: Arts, Board of Ethics, Lake Authority, Aging, Conservation, Library and more.

The Brookfield Republican Town Committee (RTC) is seeking new members to serve on the town committee during the 2016-2018 term, according to a release. In addition to the 25 regular members, the BRTC has 10 alternate positions.
“The BRTC works to recruit, endorse, and elect Republican candidates at all levels of our government, and to promote activities that raise funds to support the election of said Republican candidates,” The Brookfield RTC stated.
The Vacancy Committee will be conducting interviews with interested Brookfield Republicans over the next few weeks and will select a full slate of 35 members to be presented to a caucus open to all Republicans at a date to be determined in January.
The Brookfield Republican Town Committee is also seeking candidates interested in volunteering for the following appointed offices:
- Arts Commission
- Board of Ethics
- Candlewood Lake Authority
- Commission on Aging
- Conservation Commission
- Economic Development Commission
- Historic District Commission
- Housing Authority
- Inland Wetlands Commission
- Lake Lillinonah Authority
- Library Board of Trustees
- Municipal Building Committee
- Parks & Recreation Commission
- Police Commission
- Water Pollution Control Authority
The recommended candidates will be considered by the Board of Selectmen (BOS) in January. Regular and alternate members approved by the BOS will begin serving on their respective appointed boards and commissions in February, 2016.
