Brookfield Republicans Share Their Love
TOWN VOTERS GIVEN A SWEET VALENTINE MESSAGE TO SUPPORT NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REFERENDUM.

Voters are getting a double treat this Valentine’s Day from the Brookfield Republican Town Committee. Wearing red and donning hearts, these devoted Republicans showed their love for Brookfield today in a very special way. Loretta Donovan, Chairperson of the Brookfield Republican Town Committee said “It’s our way of saying if you care for our community, demonstrate it by being an active citizen.”
“The key message from the Brookfield Republican Town Committee is to vote YES in the March 5 referendum to fund a new elementary school,” Donovan continued. The requirement for addressing the facilities needs of the school district has undergone extensive study. The BRTC believes it’s fiscally responsible to stop investing in repairs and renovations for elementary school buildings that have outlived their usefulness. New facilities will also allow for more up to date instructional approaches in their view. Steve Cioffi, Treasurer of the BRTC explained,” It is essential to invest in education to keep Brookfield strong economically. Businesses locate here when we provide opportunity for success. We will attract a community of customers for them if the town offers the best schools, both in facilities and curriculum, for current and futue residents.”
These messages were conveyed on candy bars delivered by the BRTC members all over town to delighted shoppers. The wrappers promoted “For the Love of Brookfield: Register to Vote, Learn About Town Government, Attend Public Meetings, Support Local Candidates, Vote in All Elections”. Information about the March 5 referendum was accessible via a QR code on each candy bar.
