Brookfield RTC Backs David X. Sullivan

Unanimous Endorsement of Republican Candidate for 5th District Congressional Seat

BROOKFIELD — 02/04/2020 The Brookfield Republican Town hosted Congressional candidate, David X. Sullivan, at its meeting on Tuesday, February 4 at Town Hall. BRTC Chairman Loretta Donovan expressed her enthusiastic support for Sullivan saying, “David has already gained endorsements from leading Republican officials in the district and state. His outstanding career and extraordinary breadth of skills cannot be matched. And his commitment to Western Connecticut is clear. In fall 2019 he helped Brookfield Republicans achieve outstanding wins on election day.”

Following a presentation by Mr. Sullivan highlighting major issues affecting Connecticut voters on the national and state levels, Brookfield Republican Town Committee members voted unanimously to endorse David X. Sullivan as candidate for the 5th Congressional District.

A lifelong resident of New Fairfield, David X. Sullivan served as a Federal prosecutor for 30 years in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut. In 2004, he completed a 16-month assignment with the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. at the Executive Office of United States Attorneys serving as the National Money Laundering/Asset Forfeiture Coordinator for the Nation’s 93 U.S. Attorneys’ Offices. As an Assistant United States Attorney, he has extensive trial experience in civil and criminal cases including drug trafficking and white-collar crimes involving criminal tax, money laundering, unlicensed money remitting, mail fraud, wire fraud, asset forfeiture, and the structuring of financial transactions.
