BROOKFIELD, CT — Whisconier Middle School was named among the top 100 middle schools in Connecticut in a new report by the U.S. News & World Report, coming in at #58.
U.S. News published rankings and data on more than 80,000 public elementary and middle schools across the United States.
In Connecticut, a total of 848 schools were ranked, 560 elementary and 288 middle schools.
Schools are ranked at the state and district levels. The best charter schools and best magnet schools ranked as stand-alone categories.

U.S. News ranked Booth Free School in Roxbury as the top in Connecticut among K-8 schools, and House of Arts Letters and Science Academy in New Britain as the state's top middle school.
