Brookfield School District Ranked No. 23 of CT's Top 100
A new report ranks the top school districts in Connecticut and we let you know how Brookfield performed.
Niche.com has released its new list of “2016 Best School Districts in Connecticut.”
The results are based on a variety of metrics, including test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, reviews by students and staff, SAT scores and much more.
The top 10 reveals that seven of the top rated school districts are located in Fairfield County and the other three are from Hartford County.
The top 5 for Connecticut are: No. 1 Westport, No. 2, New Canaan, No. 3, Wilton, No. 4, Simsbury, No. 5. Greenwich.
The report states:
“Brookfield School District is centered in Brookfield, Connecticut. It has 2,764 students attending 4 schools in grades PK and K-12. According to state standards, 93% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading. The district has an annual budget of $43,882,000, spending an average of $15,468 per student. There have been 259 reviews written and they have been mostly positive.”
The school district received the following grades:
- Academics Grade - A+
- Health & Safety Grade - A
- Student Culture & Diversity Grade - C+
- Teachers Grade - A-
- Resources & Facilities Grade - B
- Extracurriculars & Activities Grade - A
- Sports & Fitness Grade - B+
