Brookfield Schools Budget Would Increase Spending By 4.86 Percent: Report

The budget was approved by just one vote, according to a published report.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Board of Education voted 4 to 3 to approve a $58.8 million budget for fiscal 2026-27, which increases spending by 4.86 percent, according to Hearst Connecticut.

The total spending increase is just over $3 million. The budget still faces review and potential adjustment by the selectmen and finance boards before an eventual referendum later this spring.
