Brookfield Schools Capital Projects Receive Resolution Approval By Selectmen

Brookfield's Board of Selectmen has authorized the Board of Education to seek grants for the projects.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Board of Selectmen earlier this week unanimously approved resolutions to advance HVAC upgrade projects at Brookfield High School and Whisconier Middle School.

This decision, made after a discussion, allows the Board of Education to pursue non-priority list project grants for these capital improvements.

On January 21, 2026, the Brookfield Board of Education voted unanimously to request these resolutions from the Board of Selectmen. The resolutions specifically authorize the Board of Education to apply to the Commissioner of Administrative Services for grants. They also allow the Board of Education to accept or reject any grants awarded for the HVAC upgrades.
