BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Board of Education has appointed Stephen Foresi as the next Superintendent of Schools, with his tenure beginning on February 9, 2026, according to a news release shared by the school district on its website.

Foresi currently serves as Assistant Superintendent in Newington Public Schools and brings nearly three decades of experience in Connecticut public education.

Foresi holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of Hartford. He also earned degrees in Educational Administration and Supervision and Executive Leadership from the University of Connecticut. He was named 2025 Personnel Administrator of the Year by the Connecticut Association of School Personnel Administrators (CASPA).
