Brookfield Schools, Park & Rec Activities, Cancelled For Tuesday Night

BROOKFIELD, CT — All Brookfield schools and Park & Rec activities after 6 p.m. Tuesday have been cancelled due to the weather forecast, according to a notification from the Brookfield Public Schools.

The Whisconier Middle School Band and Chorus Concert has been postponed until Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Brookfield High School Auditorium.

A powerful storm is forecast to dominate Connecticut's weather beginning late Tuesday afternoon.

The state could see up to 4 inches of rain, flooding issues, up to 70 mph wind gusts, thunderstorms, and widespread power outages.

Meteorologists expect the storm to exit the state Wednesday morning.
