BROOKFIELD, CT — An online fundraiser has been established for the Brookfield family who lost their home to a fire on Father's Day.
Parents Amy and Jay Foster, along with their children Ian, 17, Kellen, 15 and Nora, 8, were displaced following the blaze Sunday morning. No one was injured, according to fire officials.
"But all of their possessions and the things that helped them remember the most important moments of the life they’ve built are gone," wrote Laura Orban, who is organizing the GoFundMe effort.

A little over $57,100 has been pledged across 578 donations in the first five days of the fundraiser "Help The Foster Family Recover From Their Fire," which has a goal of $60,000.
Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and EMS crews received a report of a structure fire just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Eyeing the large column of smoke from across town, fire officials and requested a second alarm be transmitted, bringing mutual aid companies.

First responders to the scene found a rapidly advancing fire, and called in a third alarm, according to fire officials.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in 90 minutes, and crews were released by 3 p.m., following extensive overhaul and clean up.
