Brookfield Spot Named 'Most Instagram-Worthy' In Connecticut

BROOKFIELD, CT — Candlewood Lake is more than ready for its close-up, according to a new report.

Real estate company New Jersey Real Estate Network analyzed the number of posts uploaded to Instagram under area-specific hashtags mentioning the most aesthetically pleasing parks, lakes, forests, and other natural attractions, to determine the most popular, "Instagram-worthy" spots.

New York claims the number one most popular beauty spot with Central Park, while Candlewood Lake takes the top spot in Connecticut.

The man-made lake is surrounded by some of the priciest real estate in Greater Danbury, and is bordered by New Fairfield, Danbury, New Milford, and Sherman, along with Brookfield.

Candlewood Lake had the most posts in the state, at 44,900. The lake is the largest in the state and offers picturesque views alongside a variety of recreational activities, making it the perfect draw for prospective residents or potential tourists alike, according to the real estate agent-analysts.

A spokesperson for New Jersey Real Estate Network said, "The popularity of these spots is testament to the astonishing natural beauty of the East Coast. It’s no surprise that both locals and visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent spaces."
