There is a parking ban during winter storms. Residents are strongly encouraged to clear the fire hydrants near their homes if it gets covered by snow during a storm in case of an emergency.

“All residents are kindly asked to assist the Brookfield Public Works Department in keeping the roads clear and accessible. Street side parking is prohibited for the duration of the storm and subsequent clean up. Thank you very much for your cooperation stay safe.”

Brookfield Public Library

  • The Martian, originally scheduled for Saturday, January 23 has been postponed to Saturday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. due to weather

Community Cancelations and Business Closings

  • Regional YMCA is closing at 1 p.m.
  • Metro North will suspend service at 4 p.m. Saturday
  • Danbury Fair will close early Saturday, at 2 p.m. Department store, and restaurant hours may vary. They will resume normal operating hours 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 24.
