Brookfield Tax Assessor News: Sept. 22 is Board of Assessment Appeals Meeting
Any Brookfield resident who wishes to appeal their taxes may do so at September's Board of Assessment appeals meeting.

The September Board of Assessment appeals meeting for Brookfield will be held on Sept. 22, 2015 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 26, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
According to the Conn. Gen. Stat. § 12- 117a (2015):
“Any person . . . claiming to be aggrieved by the action of the board of tax review or the board of assessment appeals, as the case may be, in any town or city may, within two months from the date of the mailing of notice of such action, make application, in the nature of an appeal therefrom, . . . to the superior court for the judicial district in which such town or city is situated, which shall be accompanied by a citation to such town or city to appear before said court.”

Veterans can file their DD214 with the Town Clerk by September 30 if not already receiving the benefit, in order to receive benefits for 2015 Grand List.
