Brookfield VFW Post Ct Riders join in NYC Veterans Day Parade

The Jason D. Lewis Brookfield Memorial VFW Post has first and only Connecticut VFW Riders Motorcycyle Chapter in the State

As the 100th annual VFW Parade began on 5th Avenue in New York City this past Monday, the Parade was led by a contingent of Motor Cycle Riders which were part of the NYPD. Among those following directly behind and representing the State of Connecticut Veterans of Foreign Wars were the Connecticut VFW Riders attached to the Jason D. Lewis Brookfield Memorial VFW Post

The Brookfield VFW riders are part of the National VFW Riders Group and to date, the first and only VFW Motorcycle group in Connecticut. Its President, Jeffery Osuch, is an Airforce veteran having served during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Today he is member of the Brookfield Police Department.

According to Osuch, “ The Brookfield Connecticut VFW Riders are dedicated to the ideals of the Veterans of Foreign Affairs by supporting the brotherhood and comradeship of its members, promoting the public’s visibility of the Post and participating in patriotic and outreach programs to assist fellow veterans , the community and those currently serving in the Armed Forces. In addition they are committed to promoting motorcycle safety.

Membership to the Brookfield VFW Riders is open to all Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Auxiliary members and invited participants who enjoy the pastime of motorcycling. Interested individuals can log onto vfw10201.org for more information or e-mail vfw10201@gmail.com
