BROOKFIELD WEATHER ALERT: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued
See when showers, thunderstorms and heavy flooding will hit Brookfield.
The National Weather Service (nws) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for our area due to expected heavy rainfall and possible flooding.
The NWS wrote on their website:
“LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY AHEAD OF A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT FROM FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. BECAUSE OF THE RELATIVELY SLOW MOTION EXPECTED FOR ANY CONVECTION...WIDESPREAD URBAN AND POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING IS LIKELY. THERE IS ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF FLASH FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS AND FAST RESPONDING SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS.”

Today will be partly sunny with highs in the low 80s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight after 11 p.m. On Friday, the NWS is predicting showers and possible thunderstorms, some of which could produce heavy rain.
The weekend continues to look wet on Saturday and Sunday with a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
