BROOKFIELD WEATHER ALERT: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” and a “Dense Fog Advisory” for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties from now until 1 a.m.

According to a National Weather Service statement

* HAZARDS...DENSE FOG.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TIMING...THROUGH 1:00 AM TUESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...USE YOUR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU IN CASE A SUDDEN STOP IS NEEDED,” The National Weather Service states.
