BROOKFIELD WEATHER UPDATE: Rain Makes its Return This Week
The National Weather Service says there are a few chances of rain this week in our area, and winds could be gusty during one of the storms.

The back-to-work week forecast features a few chances of rain this week, which for us in Connecticut has been a rarity dating back to June.
The state has been either in a “moderate drought” or experiencing “abnormally dry conditions” for the past couple of months.
The National Weather Service says there are rain chances on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The best bet is Tuesday for a consistent rain, accompanied by gusty winds exceeding 20 mph.
Still as of right now, none of the rain chances looks to be overly impressive. We could see up to a half inch of rain or possibly a bit more on Tuesday into Tuesday night.
Overall temps stay seasonal to slightly above as temps are in the mid to upper 50s for the week before cooling off a bit next weekend.
Here is the detailed work week forecast:
- Monday: Sunny, temperature of 58 degrees
- Tuesday: Upper 50s, with rain developing during the day and up to a half inch of rain is expected before midnight along Southern Connecticut.
- Wednesday, Veterans Day: A slight chance of showers and mostly cloudy skies with temps in the mid 50s.
- Thursday: Showers after 9 a.m. expected, a 70 percent chance and temps in the upper 50s.
- Friday: Sunny, 58 degrees
- Saturday and Sunday: Sunny and temps in the low 50s.
