Brookfield Yard Waste Center to Open April 9
It may not feel like spring yet but it's just about time to start doing those yard clean-ups. Brookfield's yard waste center will open soon.
BROOKFIELD, CT-- The Brookfield Residential Yard Refuse Center will open on Saturday, April 9, 2016 for Brookfield residents only. Operating hours are Saturdays only from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Permits are free and must be obtained at the Public Works Office at Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road, Brookfield. The Yard Refuse Disposal Center is located on Pocono Road between Town Hall and the Fire House.

The Center can only accept twigs, small branches up to 3 inches in diameter, brush and leaves. Grass clippings are not allowed. Free wood chips are available at the site, however, residents are responsible for loading them into their vehicles.
The center will be open through December 10, 2016.
