Brookfield will celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a community fireworks display on Friday, June 26.
Residents and visitors are invited to gather at Brookfield Town Hall for an evening celebrating the nation's semiquincentennial. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 p.m.
Town officials say the event will bring together families, residents and visitors from across the area for a night of patriotism, pride and community celebration.

The Brookfield Police Department will host a Tip-A-Cop event from 12-4 p.m. July 11 at Brookfield Social to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut. During the event, law enforcement volunteers their time to work with restaurant employees and welcome customers, take orders and serve meals to diners. 
 

All tips received are dedicated to helping Special Olympics Connecticut provide life-changing sports, health, and fitness programs to athletes of all abilities. Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut event.
